Enduro bearings are designed and built to last, but unfortunately sometimes some of the parts that surround them can still wear out. This light-contact silicone seal is the same seal that comes with Enduro bottom brackets for SRAM GXP cranksets that feature the custom GXP bearing reducer for MR 2437 bearings to provide additional protection against the elements. This seal is the wider version that is required in some applications, though the narrow version (SE MR 2237N) is more often the correct replacement part for Enduro TorqTite GXP BBs with MR 2437 bearings and GXP reducers.
