A 3mm thick layer composed of high elastic rubber to protect againts punctures.The TPI is the number of threads that cross through one square inch (Threads per inch TPI) of a single ply of the tyre’s casing. Lower TPI gives better puncture, cut and abrasion resistance but is heavier.
